Alex Gaidouk was born in Arkhangelsk, a small seaport city in frigid northwestern Russia. He studied film at the University of New Orleans, and it was during his time there that he discovered his passion for photography. After receiving a BA in film arts, he relocated to Brooklyn, NY, where he continues to pursue his passion. He is drawn towards empty spaces, gloomy scenes, and industrial landscapes.
This Series section shows the Shashin Collective in full swing. The Collective working together simultaneously around the globe on carefully selected themed content. Its content will continually grow and show the power and beauty of the combined creative minds that make up Shashin.
