Jackie Young was born during a tornado in may of 1982. since then, she has lived in awe of her surroundings in saudi arabia, norway, china, and texas. she received her BA in english literature and photography from st. edward’s university in 2005.
What’s most important to her is traveling, writing love letters, and making the type of photographs that people look at and and kick themselves for not having their cameras on them at all time. she carries two bags: one with sunglasses, keys, telephone and a wallet, the other with two film cameras. if you want to impress her, shoot just as often and just as carefully as she does and don’t be afraid to keep making photographs of this sweet human condition that seems daily, but is always changing.
