I like to keep a diary. As i grow older and as the days pass, i like to think that i will have something to look back on. My niece growing up, the time i went to hospital, drinking coffee in otley, etc. They are the little things that you don’t want to let go of. Unfortunately I am terrible with words, which is why i use photography to document my life. Each photograph tells a story. When i look back over my photos it all comes back to me. I can smell the room, and i can hear the laughter. A photograph, to me, can tell a lot more than words alone.
I take my camera everywhere. I do this because i am always looking for that perfect picture. One that you show people and they say “wow!!”. Im not sure if i have achieved this yet, but a by-product of having my camera on me all the time is that i am actually documenting my life, even the little details. If people enjoy these photos, then that’s a bonus.
