I mostly take photographs of people. A lot of those people are musicians or artists of one type or another, but not of all of them. I also like to take photographs of places, buildings, roads, and trees. I’m trying to learn how to take a photograph of nothing. It’s harder than it sounds. I draw my influences from films, music and other types of visual art just as much as from the history of photography. I don’t think good photography has anything to do the equipment you use but I still want a whole new set of kit.
This Series section shows the Shashin Collective in full swing. The Collective working together simultaneously around the globe on carefully selected themed content. Its content will continually grow and show the power and beauty of the combined creative minds that make up Shashin.
